ESA Launch: Metop-B the Second European weather Satellite

Watch the replay of the launch of MetOp-B from Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan on-board a Soyuz launcher on 17 September 2012. MetOp-B is the second in the series of three identical polar-orbiting weather satellites to provide data for weather forecasting and climate monitoring. MetOp-A was launched in 2006, MetOp-B will be followed by MetOp-C, which is scheduled for launch in 2016.
